Hello I am here seeking your help in trying to raise fund for my grandmother Monica to avoid eviction due to circumstances beyond her control.
I understand that everyone is going through a financial struggle, however anything your able to give would greatly be appreciated.
Monica who is 76 years old had been caring for her mother for over 20 years , with no sorts of financial gain from doing so, her mother sadly pass away last year age 96.
Due to her mothers passing, she has now been left with arrears on the property, leaving her in emotional distress and panic. This has caused her to deteriorate significantly mentally and physically. She is emotionally attached to the property and is petrified of losing it as it is the only thing she has left that she can call home since her mother has left this earth. They have threatened to board up the property at any given time, which is causing her to never leave her home which is affecting her badly as she will not leave even for medical reasons.
After her mother passing she had to summit an application in order to be able to support herself financially and be able to stay in her mothers house. However this is taking a lengthy time to process leaving her in an undesirable financial position. A payment plan was initially accepted but has now rejected leaving her with no other means to turn to.
Monica is on the verge of being homeless with eviction on her door.
She has no resources of her own, no money and no financially stable family member to help her get out of this desperate situation.
Her mother was her source of all basic needs, as she was her mothers carer. She completed all her daughterly duty right to the end of her mothers life. These included personal care, meal, washing, cleaning, administering medication. She selflessly dedicated her life to caring for her mother who was bedbound with various medical issues to include dementia and diabetes etc..
To show her love and dedication to her mother Monica continued to care for her mother despite being legally blind( only having one working eye), mental health issues, as well as physical, ie arthritis, diabetes and early stages of Alzheimers.
She's a warm hearted individual, who caters and gives to everyone what she hasn't got, and loves to share the smallest things she has. Some of the things my grandmother has contributed to the community are babysitting the neighbours kids for free, calling and knocking on substance users next door offering guidance and feeding them, helping them through their addiction. Always opens to anybody who knocks it seeking help.
I do hope this has given an insight on who Monica is as an individual and we are grateful who have read this far and are willing help!!!
