We are a family of 6 living in a 3 bedroom two bath 1995 single wide mobile home. in the winter our children get respiratory infections back to back. In the summer we struggle to keep the house somewhat cool enough to sleep. Everytime we start to save money for a down payment on a bigger more energy efficient house something majors happens. Our second youngest was diagnosed as celiac type 1 diabetic. Our second oldest has asthma. And i have mixed connective tissue disease and stage 4 endometriosis that recently led to a total. Abdominal hysterectomy that has me laid up for 8 weeks for recovery. My husband is a veteran that served overseas for 6 years. He is still serving his country as a firefighter. However even with him dedication to our country we still do not qualify for assistance or for a loan that doesnt have a payment twice our income combined. His family has graciously gifted us land if we can find a better house. We have looked into a 4 bedroom two bath mobile home  that if we can raise half the cost we can afford Together. I hate asking for help but i cannot handle the kids being sick anymore every year, or me being sick. We have sprayed and cleaned and had restoration people come out we cannot find the culprit of the problem and we have simply ran out of space. We dont need a fancy state of the art home, we just need one extra room and a house that isnt keeping us sick and falling apart
