My sister Candace is having brain surgery on February 9th. Sure had been dealing with the tumor for many years. It is located on her brain stem, which makes the surgery very risky. This was not a decision that was easily made as the survival rate is about 50%. There are going to be multiple trips back and forth to the hospital along with a stay there for a while. My mother and stepdad are her sole caregivers. They only draw disability so money is very limited. I, along with my other sister's live in Georgia and they live in Indiana so while we may be able to help some with money we won't be able to cover it all our help get her to appointments.
