About this fundraiser

Hello, my name is Andrea. My husband‘s name is Christian and my mother-in-law‘s name is Patience. Patience is a nurse practitioner who is retired. She gave a lot of her time to the prison system. She helped found cancer treatment facilities. we got the worst news possible that Patience had multiple myeloma. Which she has now undergo a stem cell transplant and is in complete remission. However costs from the treatment her husband recently passed from cancer as well. The bills from hospice, etc. the taxes from the house is which we are being forced to sell our home in Kerrville Texas. Because we cannot afford day-to-day expenses or monthly bills I have thyroid disease which had gone untreated for many many months due to lack of insurance. I can’t work if I don’t have all of my medicines. I also have congestive heart failure in many many other issues. And I’m working on filing for Social Security. My husband is on Social Security, and is also a transplant patient. Who has beaten type 1 diabetes, Charcot, being wheelchair dependent and blind. Had two hip replacements and has overcome every single one of those obstacles as well as being blind by having many eye repair surgeries, mind you he only has one eye, but he is the bravest strongest person that I know. And works harder than anyone I have ever seen in my life. but between three homes, property taxes, the utilities, groceries medicines, and many other expenses. There is no money. I am afraid we are going to lose everything. One of the houses was damaged by a fly by night roofing company. They left the roof off when it began to rain and the whole house was flooded destroyed the entire interior of the home sheet rock rotted out some wood. And then it became critter infested and that is currently where my husband and I are living at the moment. As we had to put our home in Kerrville up for sale so that we could come in care for his mother during her time of need and help her remodel and restore this house here in San Antonio to be sold.
