Hi there, my name is Blake and for the last 3 years ,due to a string of unfortunate circumstances, I’ve been forced to live with my dad and stepmom after i couldn’t afford my apartment anymore. Then for the last year I’ve been having to get a ride to and from work everyday after the engine in my vehicle went completely out. Shorty after moving in with my dad 3 years ago I totaled my car only one month after paying it off trying to dodge a puppy that got in the road. I worked very hard for that car and never missed a payment for 4 years then all of a sudden because of this puppy the only thing I owned in this world was gone. It was a main highway and I was going about 55 mph which was way too fast to go off the road the way I did so as soon as I went off my tire popped, rim was destroyed, I was knocked out cold, and while unconscious the car hit a culvert and it was totaled. I still had full coverage insurance but they only gave me 3,400$ on a car I paid 15,000$ for so I bought the only vehicle I could find for 3,400$ which was a 2008 ford escape from a used lot and boy did they sell me a lemon. anyway about a year and a half later after already doing a lot of work to it, I was pulling into work and the vehicle dies and doesn’t start again. a mechanic looked at it and said there was metal shavings in my oil and that it was toast and would need an engine replacement. I couldn’t afford to do that and for the last year while trying to save money I’ve been riding to and from work with whoever I can but I’m also having to buy their gas, and pay all the bills at my dad by myself now because he got locked up, I haven’t been able to save hardly anything. I did have 500$ saved but two months ago while I was at work someone broke in the house and stole my PlayStation, my bass guitar, and the envelope containing the 500$ I had saved so far. So I’m here out of desperation and frustration to see if this kind of thing might actually help. It seems like I just can’t get out of this hole no matter how hard I work and honestly my mental health is suffering only being able to go to and from work and back to a house that isn’t mine by myself everyday for the last year. Im trying to raise at least 1000$ for a down payment on something that will be decent enough to last awhile. Any help would be greatly appreciated, you have no idea! God Bless 🙏🏼❤️
