Janet King , 78, of San Diego California, a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, and dear friend to many, passed away on January 3, 2025. She is survived by her sons, Calvin Means, of Temecula, CA and Ricky McIntyre, of San Diego, CA and Jerry Means, of La Mesa, CA and her daughter, Victoria Means, of Atlanta, GA and all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren
Janet was an inspiration to so many, everywhere she went she put a smile on so many faces and would light up any room. She had an amazing singing talent and spent many years praising the Lord with her voice. She was devoted to the Most High and raised her children and family to follow in her footsteps of her unwavering faith in Christ.
Unfortunately, Janet was diagnosed with Advanced Dementia the end of 2023. Her condition progressed quickly and she needed to be cared for in a 24 hr facility, in which her Social Security check she received monthly was used to cover the level of care she needed at the facility.
As her children, and family, we wish to provide for our wonderful mother a dignified celebration of life in her memory.
Our mother was not able to obtain a funeral expenses life insurance plan. Your generous donations, which will help the family covers these significant costs are greatly appreciated. We are in need of donations to help with the cost of the funeral/wake, burial, cemetery arrangements.
We, the family and friends, are working tirelessly to honor her and send her home in a manner that celebrates the style and grace that embodied her in life. We are grateful for any and all donations
We will forever cherish her and all our memories.
