I am reaching out to you today with a heavy heart, but also with a sincere request to come together as an office community.

Charlie has been a part of our office family for many years. Many of you saw him often—always with a smile, always willing to talk, listen, or help. What some may not have known is that for years, Charlie was the primary caretaker for his wife. He carried that responsibility quietly and selflessly. Although he was often tired, he never complained.

Recently, Charlie moved into a one-level apartment, something he shared that his doctor was relieved to see. A few months ago, Charlie suffered a fall, and it was then discovered that he had tumors in his brain. He had been so focused on caring for his wife that he did not recognize the symptoms in himself. Sadly, due to his condition, a few important financial matters were missed, including the payment of his life insurance.

Now it is time for us to take care of Charlie.
