Over the past six months, this Local Purple Heart combat veteran, his devoted wife, and their five children — ranging from age 8 to a young adult — have faced unimaginable hardship. From combat-related struggles to devastating personal losses, their resilience has been tested in ways few families could endure.
They’ve weathered tragedy after tragedy, including the heartbreaking loss of their beloved family dog — a constant companion and source of comfort. Yet through every storm, his wife has stood firmly by his side — unwavering in her love and strength, carrying the weight of it all with him as they shielded and supported their children through every challenge.
Despite the emotional toll and mounting financial pressure, this veteran made one of the bravest decisions a person can make: he sought professional help. That decision — rooted in strength, courage, and hope — likely saved his life. But it came at a cost. The resulting loss of income, paired with the overwhelming challenges of the past half-year, has left the family in a financial crisis unlike anything they’ve ever faced.
Until now, they’ve always managed to make ends meet. But this storm is different.
Now, they face yet another blow. Their landlord, unable to maintain the property, is preparing to sell — forcing this family into an unplanned relocation. The upcoming months will bring costly moving expenses and unexpected financial burdens they simply cannot absorb right now.
And still — through all of this — both husband and wife continue to serve their community in the medical field, dedicating their lives to caring for others. The veteran is also pursuing his Master’s degree, working toward becoming an APRN (Advanced Practice Registered Nurse), and continuing his mission of service at the highest level — all while striving to stabilize life for his family.
This family has never asked for help before. But today, they need it — not a handout, but a hand up.
Your support can provide real, tangible relief to help them weather this storm. It will allow them to focus on healing, regaining stability, and continuing their journey forward — together.
Let’s come together for this veteran, his steadfast wife, and their five children — from elementary school to college — and remind them they are not alone. Their service, sacrifice, and strength deserve our support.
Even the strongest families sometimes need someone to lean on. Now is our chance to be that support.
The couple has every intention of reaching out to organizations and agencies that assist in emergent circumstances such as these, including those that support service-connected disabled veterans. However, there’s no shame in asking. Sometimes, we all need a little help — and this is one of those times.

To respect the family's privacy, their identities have been intentionally withheld. This is both to provide them space during an incredibly vulnerable time and because of the ongoing stigma surrounding mental health — especially for veterans. Friends of the family kindly ask that their privacy be honored. The best way you can help is by sharing this message or offering support to help bring them the relief they so urgently need.
