Our family was delivered the earth shattering news that on 7/28/24 my dad was found deceased.  We are waiting for the medical examiner to give us the final cause of death and won't know for about 3 months. We had no warning that his death was imminent this is a unexpected passing in every way for us. He had no life insurance or savings account set aside for his passing and our family just overcame the devastating effects of cancer with another of our family members after battling for two years. We are depleted financially. I as his oldest daughter hope to only raise enough to cremate my father, put ashes in 4 urn keepsake necklaces and take the rest of his remains to Lake Lanier where his mothers ashes were taken so he can rejoin her there. We don't need a memorial services although it would be nice but we can do that at home before returning him to his mom my grandmother. I know times are hard for everyone right now, I know we all have our struggles not just my family. I beg of you if you can donate anything to my dad's cremation fund to please do so it will allow me to transpor him to the crematoriu, cremate him, take his remains home, and get his death certificate. I only ask for the bare minimum and pray everyone can try and help me with this and if you can't afford to donate anything please share. I have 10 days to figure this out because the medical examiner will be done by then and will start charging a daily freezer storage fee. I have never had to plan a funeral before and my first is my dads.
