My wife and I have been Foster Parents for the last 4 years and are always seeking ways to enrich the lives of the children we foster. Unfortunately many of these children have trauma and other developmental issues from their life experience.

We have always sought ways to give them experiences that heal and provide growth for them. Being in and around water has always brought joy to our children therefore I want to take foster children and their families on fun and therapeutic adventures on our regional lakes! This giving me the idea to start Cruises for Kids.

I was given a 24’ Skiff Craft Cabin Cruiser by the Chesapeake Maritime Museum in St. Micheals, Maryland. The funds will be used to purchase a trailer to transport the boat down to Western North Carolina and do thr necessary repairs to get it back on thr water! Also to purchase the  required safety equipment, navigation systems, flotation devices , refrigeration and build out a kid friendly interior.
