My name is Andrew Montez, son of Cyrus Montez. I received a phone call September 24th, 2023 stating that my dad passed away. I was in no way prepared for this devastating news. I was also told that I am next of kin. This means that all responsibility for his arrangements falls to me. I am 20 years old and completely shattered and overcome with stress and sadness from the news of my dad’s passing. I have called around to several funeral homes in Pueblo, and it sounds like it is going to cost around $8000 for a simple burial. These costs have to be paid in full before I can lay him to rest. I just graduated from trade school earlier this year and have no way to cover these costs. I am reaching out in hopes that my dad’s family and friends can help me in this time of need.
