About this fundraiser

In the last 10 years my arthritis has become quite severe limiting my ability to use my hands or stand, walk, bend, squat, climb stairs, or do any sort of manual labor. I had wrist fusion surgery in 2020 which limited my ability to continue with my lutherie/guitar work in my Redmond workshop and shortly after, with 27 days notice from my landlord of 10 years I lost my lease on my guitar shop causing me to sell all my equipment and tools and remaining inventory of guitars and causing me to move to another apartment since my workshop which was a commercial unit connected to a residential apartment where I lived.

I then took a job as a shift supervisor at Bartell Drugs where I worked for 3 1/2 years until I was laid off 10 months before they went out of business. I had several periods of medical leave which led to my early termination upon rejection from Rite Aid Accommodations to allow me to continue work wearing a special orthopedic brace which was made to support my dislocated 2nd metatarsal on my right foot. I believe that this was a clear case of ageism and disability discrimination.

In the last 6 months since that time, my arthritis has gotten worse to the point where I can barely walk which has made my job search difficult to impossible.

I have used up all of my savings and am facing eviction and potential homelessness very soon if I don't generate some source of income right away.

Frankly, I am embarrassed to be begging in this manner, but my options have become extremely limited.

Please help in any way that you may find possible.

Thank You,

Andy Hogg
