Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Souls,

My name is Gerard Saez, I am 62 years old and am a single father to Julian (15) and Chloe (10).

This has been the hardest chapter of my life. As some of you may know, Jaqueline(49)  (Julian & Chloe’s mother) suddenly and tragically passed away in September of 2023. Since her passing, we have been trying to cope as a family and get through each day. We have all been attending therapy to help process our loss.

Last week, I was laid off from work. Which could not have come at a worse time. Rent is due in just a few days and I was expecting the money from work to be able to pay it. Julian will be starting his first year of high school in August, and Chloe will be starting 5th grade.

I have been scrambling to do any work that I can find (driving for uber, side jobs), to raise some money for rent, school expenses, and day to day life however it has been more difficult than I thought.

With the 1st of the month around the corner, I am asking for your help. This is not an easy ask, but I am desperate and feeling incredibly stressed to provide a stable roof over our heads.

Every dollar raised will go toward rent, groceries, school supplies, and other essentials for our family as I work to secure stable employment again.
