About this fundraiser

My vision is to bring FLY to the screen — to create a film that captures the spirit, the heart, and the ancestral power of what you’ve experienced at the live performance. I want people everywhere to feel what you felt — to see themselves, their history, and their hope reflected in this work.

But to make that happen, I need your help.

I’m inviting you to be part of this journey — to help bring FLY to film and share it with the world. We’re raising $40,000 to make it possible. No contribution is too small — whether it’s $5, $500, $1000 every gift helps this vision take flight. The goal is to raise these funds by May 2026.

As a thank you, every donor’s name will appear in the film’s credits — because FLY is not just my story; it’s our story.

How The Funding Will Support The Film

To bring FLY to the screen as a feature-length film, our target budget is $40,000.

This covers everything from pre-production—script refinement, a producer to help manage logistics, the rooftop location, permits and insurance—

To production, which is a focused 3–5 day shoot on a single rooftop with a small professional crew, plus camera, sound, lighting, wardrobe, and the set pieces that help turn one rooftop into many worlds.

And then post-production: editing the full 80-minute film, sound design and mixing, color grading, original music, titles, and the final versions we’ll use for streaming and festivals.

We’ve also included a small contingency so that if something unexpected happens—weather, equipment, anything—we can keep the vision on track.

In total, $40,000 allows us to make a beautiful, focused, one-location film that can carry FLY from this rooftop to screens across the African Diaspora and beyond.  If you have questions please contact me at [email protected] or 646.221.4994.  I would love to hear from you.

AUDIENCE MEMBER REVIEW FROM 11.14.25 SHOW IN PANAMA CITY, PANAMA

I had the pleasure of attending a one-man theater show last night, and I am still amazed by what I experienced. I went in not knowing what to expect, but I left completely inspired, impressed, and genuinely moved. The performer’s talent is truly extraordinary he seamlessly morphed into about thirteen different characters over the course of an hour and a half, each one fully realized with its own voice, personality, and presence. It felt as though an entire cast was on stage, yet it was just one incredibly gifted man carrying the whole production with ease.

This show wasn’t just entertaining it was educational and deeply meaningful. Through his vivid storytelling, he brought influential moments of history to life in a way that was engaging, accessible, and unforgettable. You don’t just watch the story unfold you feel it. You learn, reflect, laugh, and walk away with a deeper appreciation for the moments and people who helped shape our world.

I highly recommend this show to anyone looking for something truly special. Whether you enjoy history, theater, or simply witnessing exceptional talent, this performance is absolutely worth your time. It’s the kind of show that stays with you long after the lights come up. If you have the chance to attend, don’t hesitate go experience it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed.

Thank You
Paige Haggins
