On Friday September 6, 2024 my beautiful mother, Toronda Elizabeth Dangerfield Pittman,  went home to be with the Lord after what seemed like a very short battle with cancer. Unfortunately her life insurance policy required that she live at least a year after being diagnosed with cancer, otherwise it forfeited her benefits. She did not live a year after her diagnosis, so now we are in need of donations to assist in her funeral expenses.  I desire to have an appropriate and much deserved home going celebration for this amazing woman who gave me life and loved all so selflessly even to the very end of this life and entering the beginning of her new life in Heaven. We are attempting to keep the costs as minimal as possible while still attempting to do this in excellence. 

Her mark was left on all who encountered her. Her laughter, smile, and welcoming ways to let you know that you were valued is truly a testament to who she was. I'm sure that many have their memories and stories about my mom that I would love to hear at some point. We are truly heartbroken at her departure, but know we must pick up the baton and continue the legacy that has been left for us. 

Grieving is a difficult process and your help and tribute would be such a blessing and no matter the amount would help lift some of the weight as we walk through this process. We have set her funeral date to October 5, 2024 in Richmond, VA to give us time to raise the necessary funds (which must be paid by October 3, 2024) and for those who want to be a part of her homegoing celebration to be in attendance.
