My name is Natoshia, and I’m reaching out during one of the hardest moments of my life. After a long and heartbreaking year of watching my grandfather decline in a care facility—enduring repeated ICU visits, preventable suffering, and having his clearly stated wishes ignored—he passed away under circumstances that my family cannot ignore.
During his final week, multiple medical professionals urged that he be placed on comfort care regimen. Those recommendations were dismissed. He was isolated from friends and family, denied the peaceful and supported passing he deserved, and left to endure what we believe were agonizing final days. We fear he may have died from neglect, including lack of nutrition and respiratory support, in direct conflict with what he wanted for himself.
I have already covered the costs of his cremation and death certificates. What I cannot afford alone is the private autopsy that is necessary to understand what truly happened to him. This exam is the only path to clarity, accountability, and closure. Without it, his suffering risks being dismissed, and the truth risks being buried with him.
I’m asking for help—whether through donations or by sharing this page—to raise the funds needed for the autopsy. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us closer to answers and ensures that my grandfather’s story is not forgotten or ignored.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, for caring, and for helping us fight for the truth he deserves.
