Meet the Bensons- Lenore and her children have had a rough couple years. In 2023, they left Williamsport to move back to Philadelphia to Lenora’s hometown only to be met with hurdle after hurdle. It has not been easy- while caring for her 7 children, Lenore gave birth to another baby girl in August- making 8. They have bounce around shelters in Philly, Delaware and now Williamsport. Coming back to Williamsport has been a blessing as she is now surrounded by more people she knows and support for her and her family but the goal is to find housing and get out of the shelter. The kids NEED stability and a place to call home. Section 8 will not process her application for housing until she pays her outstanding balance of $500+. Lenore is looking for a fresh start for her family. This fundraiser is to pay off the housing authority and then all money (if any Left) will go directly to purchasing items for a house once one is obtained- such as beds and furnitur.
