Losing our father has been one of the hardest things our family has ever faced. After battling dementia for years, we watched a strong, loving man slowly fade, and it broke our hearts in ways words can’t fully explain. Dementia is not just an illness—it takes away memories, personality, and moments that we wish we could have held onto forever.

Our father was more than his diagnosis. He was a devoted husband, a proud father to his six children, and a loving grandfather who meant the world to his family. He worked hard, showed up for us, and made sure we always felt protected and loved. His presence was the foundation of our family, and his absence has left a space that can never be filled.

Throughout his journey, we stood by him, cared for him, and loved him through every stage of this illness. Watching someone you love go through dementia is painful, but we remained strong for him, just as he had always been strong for us.
