My name is Carla and I and 55 years old . I am in a senior shelter in Brooklyn NY. I lived at my previous address for 15 years. The owner of the house lost the house because it was foreclosed. I was devastated..I paid this landlord rent (on time) every month for 15 years. I have been homeless since June 30 2024. I am depressed and heart broken. 

I have been in the shelter since October 14th 2024. I was staying in hotels.sleeping in cars and couch hopping. I stayed with a friend for a few weeks but that was not a comfortable situation. That is what lead me to the homeless shelter for single females. 

I am seeking employment. I was employed as a sales person. I had to sell my car early June 2024 to pay for hotel rooms and miscellaneous stuff.

I put my stuff in storage in June 2024 I have been struggling to pay storage and dealing with day to day adversities.

I have maxed out my credit cards.

I have no help from family.

My mental is not good but I keep my faith in God 

I NEED A PLACE TO CALL HOME SO I CAN GET BACK ON MY FEET.
