Gina Huey was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in January of 2023. Although most would let that get them down Gina kept her head up and fought one hell of a fight. She stayed strong and did everything she could to win the battle. But sadly the cancer kept progressing and on November 16, 2024 she passed away with her daughter, mother, and siblings by her side. 

Gina struggled with other health issues that was finally she was finally getting under control when she got the cancer diagnosis but before that Gina was very active with charity organizations and with her Church Grace Community Church in Mount Union PA. She went on mission trips including one to help with the hurricane Katrina awhile back. She was happy when she knew she was helping others. 

Her Daughter Nikki (Huey) Davoli (Ginas only child) stopped working 5 months before she passed to be with her mom and make sure she was getting all the treatments she needed and to spend as much time with her as she could. While that was the best decision she ever made because time with her mom is something she can't get back, we all know especially now even if temporary, losing an income in a family of 5 can be rough. Especially with the holidays and Nikkis son (Ginas oldest Grandson) turns 16 here on November 29th. 

Gina did have a life insurance that covered the cremation and some things but this fundraiser was created to help the family during these hard times and help cover any expenses for Ginas Celebration of Life.
