Our dear friend Gina is facing the toughest battle of her life. Two years ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, which has since progressed to Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer, requiring indefinite chemotherapy. As a devoted mom to Bella (14), Joey (12), and Charlie (9), a loving wife to Dave, a middle school teacher in Elgin, and a professional with her own career, she continues to inspire everyone around her with her strength and love. Even in the face of this challenge, Gina and Dave remain steadfast and positive.

Gina and Dave are the kind of people who give to others. Whether it’s volunteering for the American Cancer Society, cheering on all the kids on the team, coaching, or serving in their community, they show up with kindness, humility, and strength. Asking for help does not come easily to them, but the reality of mounting medical bills and lost income has created a burden no family should face alone.
