Hello all. My dad who is 72 years old is a fighter. I have never met someone as strong and determined as he is. He has been in the hospital for over a week with much more days to go. He has neoplasm malignant of the tongue. Once strong enough will undergo removal and reconstruction Of his tongue, along with chemo and radiation. 
However, this is just the beginning of a long road ahead. Richard just recently got a feeding tube and trying to adjust to life changes. 
He gave us a scare a few days ago and resulted in the ICU. But he is fighting back hard. With that said, my step mom is still working. She works four 10 hour days and still manages to stay with him at night and get up to continue business as usual.
We (my siblings and me) just want to lessen the burden on my step mom If we can. She loves my dad big and we would love to help her as much as possible with finances so she doesn't have to stress so much about missing a day of work.  Any little thing donated is greatly appreciated to off set cost of food, gas, medical, and, life in general as the journey begins and ends.
