This year has been heartbreaking for my 23-year-old neighbor, Charley. After losing her father earlier this year, she tragically lost her boyfriend of two years, Danny, on Christmas Eve. They shared a home and a dog, and Charley is now navigating profound grief while facing the financial challenge of affording rent on her own.
