Hello. My name is Hollie. I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer on 12-17-24.  I had a double mastectomy in February of 2025. And reconstruction surgery in June of 2025.    During the majority of this time, I have been unable to work or work only part-time. I live alone and  I do not have financial support from anyone but myself. Because of my cancer and lack of hours of work, I have gotten behind on rent and bills. I also lost my health insurance and have had to cancel two oncology appointments. 

I've taken numerous steps to help my financial situation. I am a caregiver and I'm currently employed by two agencies but only average 12 hours a week.  I'm in the onboarding process with another agency plus have an interview for another coming up.  I have also reached out to many different places for help. Sadly, funding is not there for many.  I constantly am asking for more hours and looking for better opportunities.  I'm truly trying my best to get myself out of the hole cancer put me in. 

I want to continue to thrive without the stress of how I'm going to pay next months bills. Until my cancer, I always paid my bills on time. I know things are going to turn around for me, it is just taking longer than I anticipated.
