Sunday, April 6th, 2025, my daughter's father, Tyler Lee Taylor, was found dead. He died in his sleep. My daughter was there when they tried to wake him up and realized he wouldn't. My heart hurts in so many different ways. This isn't about me though. This is about my daughter and her father and a daughter's wish to attend her dad's funeral and tell him goodbye.

Sierra Sky is her name; she is ten years old. She is a daddy's girl for sure. They are so similar in so many ways. She has her daddy's unforgiving, stubborn, free spirit. They both have this temper that makes you want to love them both more when they're mad because that's all they really need, but they're too afraid to admit it. Tyler loved his daughter more than anything or anyone. He made mistakes, but our daughter looked beyond his mistakes. She was just happy to have her daddy in her life. She gave him life, and he gave her understanding of so many things, and of course, he gave her his love as much as he knew how to love his baby girl.

This still seems so unreal. I know my baby is hurting... Nothing can take her pain away right now except for prayers, and believe me, I AM PRAYING. She wants her dad back, but she knows he isn't coming back, and that is so, so, so sad.
