Our sweet baby Oliver was rushed to the ER on 9/26 after hours of severe vomiting. Doctors quickly realized he needed a higher level of care and transferred him from Womack Army Medical Center to Cape Fear’s pediatric unit and then to UNC Children’s Hospital for specialized surgery.
After days of tests and imaging, Oliver was diagnosed with an upper GI blockage that requires an exploratory laparotomy (open abdominal surgery). He is currently on IV medications and has an NG tube while we wait for him to be strong enough for surgery. Watching our little boy in pain and unable to eat has been heartbreaking.
While we focus on getting Oliver through surgery and recovery, we’re facing unexpected costs — travel back and forth to Chapel Hill, meals, time off work to stay with him, and medical expenses not fully covered by insurance.
If you feel led to help, any amount — big or small — will go directly toward keeping our family by Oliver’s side during this tough time. Even sharing this fundraiser means the world to us.
💛 Thank you for praying, loving, and supporting our little warrior as he fights to heal.
