About this fundraiser

I’m reaching out with a heavy heart and deep vulnerability. My beloved Auntie recently passed away in Ghana. She was more than family—she was a beacon of love, strength, and wisdom in my life. Losing her has left a deep ache, and my only wish is to travel home to honor her and stand beside my family during this time of grief.

As a therapist, I spend my days pouring into others, offering support and helping people heal. Asking for help myself is not easy, but I know that community is what gets us through moments like this.

This comes during an already challenging season. I was recently laid off, we just welcomed our beautiful baby, and with one income and a slowly rebuilding private practice, finances are stretched thin. Covering the cost of an international flight feels overwhelming, but not going to say goodbye and support my cousins is unimaginable.

That’s why I started this —to ask for help in bridging this gap. Every dollar brings me closer to home, closer to healing, and closer to giving my Auntie the send-off she deserves. Your generosity doesn’t just cover a flight; it carries love across an ocean, connects family, and brings comfort where it’s needed most.

If you’re able to contribute or share, it would mean the world to me and my family. Thank you for holding space for me in this moment and for being part of a community that lifts one another up.
