Monica lost her parents. In an automobile accident and was left orphaned at a young age.  The accident was so horrific that she lost the use of her voice and has been mute ever since.  Her only relative, an aunt raised her and helped put her through faScion school in CA.  After school she started her own design business where she sewed all her original designs for women in her community.  Her aunt married and moved to Grand Lake Colorado and unfortunately was diagnosed with a major hart condition.  Monica moved from CA to CO to assist with her aunts care while trying to start up a business again.  Just when Monic‘s business was starting again, her aunt was told she would need a heart transplant.  Monica’s Uncle thought it would be best to move Monica’s aunt to FL on doctors recommendation and the fact that he had relatives in the area of the hospital. Monica move to FL to assist with her aunts care.  Unfortunately monica‘s uncles family support has not taken place and Monica has been forced to stay at the hospital most days and nights having no place to stay. Monica’s uncle has gone back to work to pay for what Medicare cannot and this has left little for Monica to live on day to day while she stays at the hospital caring for her aunt and interacting with the doctors while her aunt awaits a new hart.  I have tried to help out Monica as much as I can but it is still not enough -  Monica is a fine young women, believing in Christ, goes to chapel at the hospital and prays for her aunt constantly. Monica really needs to stay in a hotel near the hospital which has agreed to give her a low monthly rate which will allow her to have some place normal, safe and private and can eat.  Because she is mute she has been assaulted 3 time, twice out on the street when she was walking - money stolen and recently at the hospital where there was an attempted sexual assault.  Monica could not scream or get to her whistle but was able to fight the attacker off, though she could not identify the attacker.  The hospital now keeps an eye on Monica while she is out in the hospital and way from her aunts room.  I know this is an unusual request / fundraiser, however Monica is doing the right thing for her only family member while she is awaiting a heart transplant and needs some help with food and lodging.
