Hope Paws Support Fund was created to provide a safety net for dogs and families facing unexpected veterinary emergencies — when time, and money, are running out.

How This Mission Began

For years, I have dedicated my time to helping dogs in need.

But everything changed when my own dog, Ariel, suddenly required urgent veterinary care.

In just a few days, I faced the devastating reality that many loving pet owners experience — overwhelming emergency veterinary bills and the fear of losing a beloved family member simply because treatment is too expensive.

That moment changed my perspective forever.

I realized how urgently families and rescues need support when unexpected veterinary crises strike. No one should have to choose between financial survival and saving the life of a dog they love.

A Community Already Helping Dogs

As the administrator of the Facebook community Dogs Matter Rescue Adopt Foster Share, I have worked closely with rescues, shelters, and compassionate adopters across the country.

I have personally contributed funds to help pull dogs from overcrowded shelters and support urgent medical cases.

Through this work, I have seen both:

• the heartbreaking number of dogs in crisis

• and the incredible power of a compassionate community coming together to help

That is why I created Hope Paws Support Fund.

Hope Paws Support Fund is a nonprofit organization established in California and currently pending IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt approval.

We are dedicated to giving vulnerable dogs a second chance at life.

Our mission is simple but urgent: to reduce suffering, preserve the bond between people and their pets, and ensure that financial hardship never determines whether a dog receives the care it deserves.

We do this by:

Providing financial assistance for emergency veterinary care

Helping low-income pet owners keep their beloved dogs during difficult times

Supporting rescues with pull fees, transport, and life-saving medical treatment

Helping save dogs at risk in overcrowded shelters

Our Immediate Goal: $2,800

We are currently raising $2,800 to help launch the first phase of our work.

These funds will help us:

✔ Cover final organizational and compliance costs so we can operate transparently and responsibly

✔ Support emergency veterinary bills for dogs at risk of surrender or euthanasia

✔ Help rescues cover pull fees, transport, and urgent medical care for shelter dogs entering foster or rescue programs
