From the first day I met Dawn in February 1993 we respected each other and became fast friends.   We have raised our boys not together but at the same time supporting each along the way.  When our spouses were sick we supported each other with a hug or a phone call that sometimes lasted way too long.   But we both felt better when we got off the phone.   When our spouses went to be with the Lord she took it upon herself to make us both a profile on a dating site and we both found the next men we were to love and have a life with.   That was just how she was.  She wanted me too be happy again too.  

As a professional she without a doubt the best CNA I ever worked with.  She would take care of her patients with the orders she was given but she really took care of them with love and Grace.  She went above and beyond for a lot of them to make sure they had what they need out of her own pocket.  For sure she was one of kind.  She did things her way, she loved big and you always knew how you stood with Dawn.   

She will certainly be missed by many especially me.   I love you Dawn you will always be in my heart.

Dawn R Buchanan left this life approx 2:15 am January 28 2026. She was a wonderful wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend.  She touched so many. All your prayers and thoughts are greatly appreciated and comforting.
My world is crushed, but I know she is watching over me. The things I’ve learned over the last few weeks during this journey is just how much she loved me, and the sacrifices she accepted to make sure I was taken care of. 
One thing I did was kiss her when leaving home, getting back home and before falling asleep. 
She will be missed. Love you baby.
