  • Day 18

I am sorry I have not updated more , I'm at the hospital and also trying to take care of everything at home including our 2 Great Danes that are missing there daddy so much .

Yesterday we made tiny tiny improvements, Keiths day nurse done so good with him , they reduced his sedation a good amount and when I got back up there she was caring for him and he would stir . She would give him a command to stick his tongue out and he tried , she asked him to wiggle his toes and. He did it the first time but after that would only do it for me a few times . It is still progress and it's still very slow moving . I spoke to The night nurse and she says she reduced his sedation more and it did not go well as he started moving around more and so she increased sedation again instead of calling me to see if I could help calm him .

Please keep praying and donate if you can if not a share is good too .

    Day 18

About this fundraiser

Hello

My name is Sherri and My husband of 23 years went in for a quadruple bypass open heart surgery and arota repair on November 13th.  Since that surgery he has been in a medically induced coma and is non responsive they way we need him to be to wake up safely.  After surgery keith still hsd the breathing tube in and on nov 21st they removed thst breathing tube and replaved it with a trachea, on Saturday November 22nd keith had a hemorrhage thst caused massive blood loss and he needed to be giving blood products and was taken down for emergency procedure to fix thst bleed , this set him back in recovery a lottle bit and today is day 13 and he is still having the vent breath for him and under heavy sedation. I was told this morning that his recovery at minimum will take about 12 weeks if no other set backs happen . I have spent every minute I can here at the hospital with him and making sure he is getting the care he needs and deserves. I am the sole income provider and I have used up the last of my PTO and Vacation time so I'm asking for help to tie us over and allow me to continue to be able to be here especially when he does wake up and also take care of my great danes and things at home.

I would be so appreciative and very greatful if your able to donate anything at all during this time . If you can't thsts ok to a simple prayer and sharing this fundraiser is also absolutely welcomed.

Lastly please pray for Keith to continue recovering without any further set backs and that he recovers fully 100% , pray for me to continue to have strength thru this and lastly pray for my great danes that just don't understand where there daddy is . Keith took care of those babies everyday while I work so that was his job and they miss him terribly.

Happy Thanksgiving !

Sherri
