Two weeks ago, I sustained a broken ankle and a severe sprain to the other while leaving my home. I spent 11 days in the hospital and underwent surgery, which has left me unable to bear weight and unable to work for an estimated six to nine months. As a Certified Nursing Assistant, I have always taken great pride in caring for others. This experience has been humbling, as I have gone from being the caregiver to needing care myself. To allow myself the time and rest necessary for a full recovery, I have created a Fundraiser to help support my children and me during this period while I am unable to work. I understand that many are facing challenges, and any support you feel led to give is deeply appreciated.
