Support us in Laying Him to Rest
Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,
Today, we come to you with heavy hearts to share our story and seek your support during this challenging time. Our beloved father, Ralph Christie, who meant the world to us, has recently passed away unexpectedly. He was not only a doting father but also a pillar of strength and support for our entire family. He touched the hearts of everyone he met. Either by his kind soul, his great teaching ability, or even by his witty charm. Everytime our dad would see someone down on their luck, he was quick to reach into his pocket and give them what he could. He actually had an envelope in his glove box with a handful of smaller bills that he would give a little to each person he saw on the street holding a sign. Nows our turn to give back. No matter how.
Since this happened all so vary quickly, we are not prepared in the slightest. None of us believed his fight was over. He was such a strong courageous man. Even down to his last days he was still his witty self. So many can recall his comedic nature. Our father was employed with Mattress Firm for about 17 years, he truly was a master salesman, I'm sure some of his coworkers can look back and truly say he was remarkable in every way. He actually would share his day at work with us all the time, from the coworkers to the customers. He always seemed to have made a difference with someone. By helping newbies learn to sell, or by granting a customer's outrageous request.
No matter the memory, or photo, or story you have with our dad, we would absolutely love it if you shared it with us. Even if you didn't know him, maybe you'll meet him in heaven one day. We know he's there, watching us now, no longer suffering.
However, amidst our grief, we find ourselves faced with an unfortunate reality – our family is currently experiencing disputes and divisions that are weighing heavily upon us. Instead of coming together as a united front to honor our father's memory, we find ourselves at odds with one another. The stress of knowing exactly how little we can afford makes the disputes that much more exhausting. This is not what he would have wanted.
In order to give our father the dignified farewell he deserves, we are reaching out to you for assistance. Funeral expenses can quickly accumulate, and we are struggling to bear the financial burden alone. We kindly request any support you can provide, as every contribution, no matter how big or small, will bring us closer to ensuring his final journey is a beautiful one.
By setting up this fundraising campaign, we hope to raise the necessary funds to cover funeral expensesp and give our father the send-off he deserves. Your generous donations will go towards funeral arrangements, transportation, cemetery costs, and any other expenses incurred during this difficult time.
We understand that not everyone may be able to contribute financially, but there are countless other ways to help. Sharing this campaign with your social networks can make a tremendous difference by raising awareness and reaching those who may want to lend their assistance. Your words of sympathy, encouragement, and heartfelt memories of our father will also provide us with immeasurable support.
No matter what you can offer, whether it's a contribution, a share, or simply a kind thought, it all makes a difference. Let us come together as a community to honor the life of a remarkable man, loving father, and one of a kind grandfather who touched the lives of so many. Our father was always there for us, he surrendered so many of his own dreams to make our lives everything we ever needed. We think he went above and beyond, he was the perfect dad we miss so much and now we are reaching out to you, hoping you can help us during this difficult time.
From the depths of our hearts, we thank you in advance for your love, support, and generosity.
With tremendous gratitude, we thank you.
His loving three daughters,
Melissa, Danielle and Jasmine

1yr agoI am heartbroken reading this. Your dad & I became friends back in 09'when he called me looking for a home for his family he loved so much. I helped him find Crescent. We became friends. I have bought & referred anyone I knew looking for a mattress since 09' to him. He helped me get a mattress delivered to my home when my dad battled cancer in 18'. Some of the most touching cards ever received were from him. My deepest condolenses. RIP my dear friend.💔

1yr agoI am so sorry to hear of his passing. I can personally tell you how much he loved you girls, and his grandkids. My deepest condolences to you all. Ralph was an extraordinary person and I enjoyed every minute we worked together at Mattress Firm. He cared so much for all of you. I can only imagine the pain that is felt amongst your family. Take care of each other, like Ralph would.
