About this fundraiser

I never thought I would find myself in this position - having to ask for help just to keep a roof over my head.  But sometimes life takes a turn that we don't expect, and pride has to step aside.

I've worked hard my whole life, always doing my best to care for others when they need help. Three years ago, I started a small school to help kids who don't quite fit the mold that public school expects.  I pour my heart into helping these feel safe to grow and thrive in their own way at their own pace., often putting their needs ahead of my own.  I don't have to do this, but these kids need me and in some way, I need them.  Somehow,  I have always been able to keep things paid.  God has always seen me through and for 13 years I have stayed in a home, near my own children, and have had the blessing of working and teaching these amazing kids.

The landlord just raised my rent by $300 beginning July 1.  I'm doing everything I can to stabilize my situation - finding new ways to grow my school, looking for assistance, applying for grants and such.  I can pay the rent when school goes back in session through the scholarships that the kids receive, but I need help to get through to October, and have time to find more affordable housing.

I am trying to raise at the minimum $5,000, which will cover my rent for three months, and keep a roof over my head as I work to secure a more sustainable future.  Anything above and beyond that will help me with a few other expenses, but the main goal is to keep my living space.

I know that times are hard for many people, so if you aren't in a position to give, please consider sharing my story and praying.  Every bit of support, even just spreading the word, helps me more than I can express in a letter..

Thank you for taking the time to read this, and for caring enough to listen.  I know that God is on my side, otherwise, I would have given up long ago, and I still have faith that it will all work out.

Phil 4:13 - “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength!”

With love and gratitude,
