  • THANK YOU!

    From Victoria:

I know I’m stating the obvious, but this last week has seemed like an eternity. Sunday seems like so long ago. I needed a few days to be able to decompress and really reflect on the event. WOW….. WOW is the main word that keeps coming to mind over and over and over. A few more are: perfect, loved, supported, community.

I’m not ashamed to say that I was completely overwhelmed. Overwhelmed in such a good way. I didn’t get to see the view of the pavilion that Paul did while we were there, but I did get to see a photo that my brother took and….WOW.

Everytime I go to write some sort of thank you I get paralyzed. Where to even start?! The day was perfect and it was perfect because of the family, friends and community we have rallying around us. I think we waited until the absolute very last minute we could to really start planning it. I knew I wanted to have Lane lead a lap around the track in her memory. The rest of the details I had a hard time deciding on. I want to say that it all came together by some sort of miracle but that would be inaccurate. It came together so perfectly because of our family and friends. Sunday was a hard day but it was clear that our girl is loved, we are loved and we honored her perfectly. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone who has shown up over the last week. Our home has been FLOODED with people, food, flowers, gifts and donations. It has been much needed. We’ve not felt for even a second that anyone was imposing. The random messages checking in or just letting us know you’re thinking about us DO help. So I’m going to ask that if you are thinking about us, please shoot us a message to let us know. Swing by to give a hug if you feel it in your heart to do so. We realize our pain isn’t going to subside anytime soon. We are navigating it the best we can as a family but also know that we will need to lean on others. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️

    THANK YOU!

About this fundraiser

It is with shattered hearts and extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Kailey Lightner. Kailey was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed. She touched the lives of so many and it’s our turn to give back to her family in their time of need. We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for the Lightner family, as this passing was completely unexpected. All funds raised will go directly to Paul and Victoria, as we wrap them in our love and support.
