Our hearts are heavy as we share the devastating news of the sudden loss of Chette Williams Sr., a beloved father, friend, Chaplain and community leader. Chette Sr. passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind his two daughters Lauren and Caitlyn Williams, and his granddaughter Emerie White.
As many of you know, the Williams family also tragically lost their son and brother Chette Williams Jr. in November 2019. These sudden losses have left the Williams family grappling with overwhelming grief.
We are reaching out to friends, family and the Auburn community to rally around Lauren and Caitlyn during this incredibly difficult time.
Thank you in advance for your kindness, generosity, and support. Let us come together to honor Chette Sr.'s memory by lifting up his children whom he loved deeply.

4d agoThere are no right words to say, but I hope there is comfort and peace in seeing the community support y’all during this incredibly difficult time. The Williams family are very, very special people. Like many of those on this page, I feel blessed and grateful to know, or have known, each of them. The void from the loss of Mr. Chette will be vast. I hope each of you find a sense of closure and healing as your heart allows. With love, Haley Adrian + Syd Bina

4d agoBrother Chette was the purest definition of what David Housel so beautifully described— It is a spirit. It is an attitude. It is a way of looking at life and at one another. It is, almost, a way of living. Unless you have experienced it, you will never know what it is; you will never understand it. Once you have experienced it, you will never be the same. A part of you will, forevermore, be an Auburn man or an Auburn woman. — David Housel
