Hello reader nice to meet you,

If you found this and are taking the time to read my statement, first thing I want to say is thank you. Each day for me is getting tougher and tougher as I have no money, and currently I am physically unable to work due to my medical condition. About me, I am fifty years old and unmarried with no children. I was a line cook at the local delicatessen down the street from my house, when this injury made it impossible to do my job. So I went to get the problem checked out, the doctor initially told me, " ... I don't think you are going to work for awhile, and you might need surgery here." Well she was right, and that was eight months ago. Here is the story.

I was attacked by a random individual in public on January 23, 2025. Walking home from the local grocer, and I had a great deal of groceries to carry, when I was struck from behind. Struck so hard that I flew into the second lane of traffic, clearing the first lane all together. I landed on my head and neck on my left side. The time of day was 5:30 PM, it was rush hour. If the drivers wouldn't have been paying attention, I don't think I would be alive. Ok, so that was the incident that created this new chapter in my life. Gladly I will share more details if needed.

The damaged caused from this attack has been more than I ever could have imagined, this has been a complete nightmare. Currently I live with chronic pain that generates from my C7 vertebrae, which has extreme stenosis where the nerve enters the spinal column. There is other damage to my neck and spine, but the C7 stenosis is what makes my life hell. When I do any type of activity for more than five minutes or so, the muscles get irritated and inflamed which puts more pressure on the already painful nerve. This nerve runs down my left arm, and down the shoulder blade, as well as over my ear and into the eye and forehead region. Sometimes the pain is just an easy headache, with some mild throbbing of my shoulder and left arm. Some days I just cry and try and get the inflammation under control to alleviate the pressure on the nerve. No two days are the same, and sometimes the headache is full blown migraine that takes hours to get under control. The throbbing in left arm keeps me from sleeping, I only get about four hours at a time, before I wake up to the throbbing. I don't have a sleep schedule anymore.

The pain is a roller coaster, that I have been trying to manage since I graduated from physical therapy. I have to limit what I do, and really put thought into what I want to try an accomplish for the day. Yesterday it was getting the trash out of the house, which I did, but I quickly had a headache and had to go lay down.

My first visit to my orthopedic doctor was in the end of February, 2025. Since then: 2 MRI's, 3 x-rays, 3 separate injections of Regenexx into my vertebrae. Been to the doctor's office more times than I can count. And now I am going to meet my surgeon next Wednesday at two thirty, to plan the surgery. My last steroid shot to my neck was last Tuesday with Dr. Kimlani. ( TRUE PRO!!! if you need injections find this man) The injections didn't work as I sit here typing in pain and tears. ugh. The good news is that my team of doctor's says that I will get back to work, and they will make me healthy again. I have my doubt's, but if I  can just get back to sixty or seventy percent capacity I will be more than happy to get back to work for next 15 years.

I would be more than happy to connect you with any of my doctor's offices about anything I am saying here today, or answer any question about any of this. I can email you the MRI's if you would like to see, or just the report that came from the surgeon after she read the image.

Ok, with that being said I need some help. I am out of money, and have been for a few months. I have begged and borrowed from all the friends and family, that chapter is behind me now. My new chapter is reaching out to the public, to look for some assistance. I really need some cash to help me get caught up.

Currently I have hired a law firm to help me with my Social Security Short Term Disability claim, which they are excited and say that I have great chance of winning. But that will take way to long to go thru, I will be homeless by that point. I am trying to find some cash to bridge the gap between now and when I start getting my monthly disability. Currently I have applied for all Medicaid social services that i qualify for, with little help or success. One of the reasons I am here asking for your help. anywho...

At this point in life, I am not to proud to beg, admit my defeat, and just be humble about some assistance. Anything would help at this point, and if you can help me I promise we will be friends. When I get back on my feet this money will be paid back to you in full, I don't know that time frame, but I can guarantee that will get the funds back to you. I am just stuck at the moment, because of this injury. If you would like to know more, please let me know, I would be happy to talk to you about any of this. I think I have said enough, and don't want to lose you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this to the end!

I hope you have a wonderful day,

Robert Meyer
