# Mike's Celebration of Life Fundraiser

Our beloved Uncle Mike left us a few weeks ago, unfortunatly im havin trouble coming up with even the smallest amount of help to keep his memory alive.  His passing has revealed deep fractures in our once-close family. Traditionally, we've honored our departed loved ones with celebrations of life, but those traditions began to fade after my grandmother's passing. Now, instead of coming together to remember Uncle Mike, the family is caught in bitter disagreements over expenses.

Uncle Mike's life deserves so much more than this discord. He was an extraordinary man who never hesitated to help others - stepping in countless times to care for his sister's children, devotedly supporting his mother, and sharing a beautiful partnership with his wife. They took care of each other with unwavering love.

The tragedy of his final days at Grosemont Hospital weighs heavily on my heart. What began as a mild stroke turned fatal due to poor treatment, and watching him decline there was devastating. Now, it seems the family is content to let his beautiful legacy slip into silence.

That's why I feel compelled to organize a celebration of life - to honor the selfless soul who touched so many lives. Uncle Mike's memory deserves to shine bright, reminding everyone of his generous spirit and the profound love he shared with us all.

I would like to put togeather something small for his friends and family and anything will be more than appreciated.

- A gathering space for approximately 50 family members and friends at El Monte park.
- Tables, chairs, and a sound system so we can share our favorite memories
- A special musical tribute from a family member who will play guitar
- A meaningful eulogy celebrating Mike's life and impact
- A memorial meal where we can connect and support each other
- Planting a baby tree in Mike's name beside those planted for his mother and nephew, creating a living family memorial

Any funds beyond our needs will be donated to another family struggling to celebrate their loved one's life - paying forward the kindness shown to us.
