My dearest friend Heather needs your help immediately! She needs funds for her vehicle to purchase a transmission and have it put in, which will incur labor costs. 

Additionally, she has gotten some pretty hefty estimates, and none of them will suffice. From $1700 alone for a tranny plus at least $800 labor, to $3400!  Plus, she has brake lines to put on, so that is more labor. 

What is more, my good friend's income is below the poverty level, and she does get a disability income that barely covers her costs to live day to day. She cannot save any money on this income!  She has had her disability for many years, so she has done without and never has had money to spare. 

Importantly, Heather must travel almost 3 hours to get to the only physician who takes care of her particular handicap. She must make short stops to relieve the pain she lives with. She also needs her truck for trips for medication and other doctors. 

Also, she needs her vehicle to visit stores for food and other dire needs during the month. Without it, she has to humble herself to pay others to take her where she needs to go.
So, any donation, no matter how small, will benefit my quest for money to cover my friend's expenses during this period of real hardship.
