In early 2023 our mother was diagnosed with non small cell adenosquamos carcinoma lung cancer. She has a lobectomy done to remove part of her lung which was a success. In July 2023 she had a CT scan done because she had a cough for a while that wouldn’t go away. The CT was clear. On August 25th she had another CT which showed multiple nodules/lesions throughout both lungs so she immediately saw her oncologist who ordered more testing. Unfortunately nothing has been quick. Last week she was hospitalized with pneumonia and has had multiple scans while in and the lesions have now spread to her liver. She had a biopsy today which we should get the results on this week. Ultimately her cancer is incurable and no one knows how long she truly has because it is spreading so fast. Today I had to tell her the hard truth and all she wants is one more family and friends trip in a cabin before the end as a celebration of life while she’s still with us. We lost my brother a couple of years ago and are now losing our mom. We want to be able to give this to her to hopefully give her some peace but unfortunately, financially it's just not feasible. 
Our mom also doesn’t have life or burial insurance and as hard as I’ve tried no one will provide even burial now no matter how much I pay.
