Hello Everyone-

To start with our youngest son and his fiancé have been placed in a very difficult situation where they are now living in fear of their neighbor.  This person has been a menace to them for the past 2 ½-3 years and has gradually been escalating over time.

We have always tried to preach to our kids to approach things legally and have always supported law enforcement. This situation is somewhat out of the ordinary considering this individual has been allowed to continue the harassment, stalking, verbal and physical threats. It just so happens they live in Kingman County, Ks and have been trying to live a quiet life in a home that has been in our family for over 25 years.

Our son purchased this home from his grandmother knowing that it would need a lot of repairs and was willing to put the time and effort into the upkeep. However, this individual moved in across the street after they had been there for a short time. We have been trying to help them financially to deal with this individual legally and have run into a brick wall with all the nepotism that goes on in small town situations.

So, I come to you our family, friends, and friends of friends to ask for financial help to legally fight the injustice that has been dealt to them from this small-town community. They have been living in fear of what might happen next, never being able to have peace as anyone would expect from the safe haven of their home. This has been an ultimate nightmare from hell. Our family has been turned upside down with never knowing when that unimaginable call or visit might come. As parents all we want is for our children to feel safe and be able to lay their heads down at night without fear of what disaster is lurking around the corner.

We have taken extreme measures to help eliminate the problem by erecting a 6 ft privacy fence, security cameras, 2 different lawyers and well over $10,000 to get a PFA order enforced after almost 7 months fighting the legal system. Now we are faced yet again going back to court to deal with this same individual who is obviously unstable and up to this point has not spent 1 day in jail for any of his actions. Unfortunately, the kids are unable to go elsewhere at this time due to housing prices and are unable to sell the residence due to the amount of work that needs to be done yet.

This has been an emotional rollercoaster of setbacks trying to help them deal with this individual legally. We have always felt that the evidence and truth would prevail however we never seem to get anywhere with it due to lack of enforcement by the legal system in Kingman County, Ks. 

Most of you know that we do not like to ask for hand-outs and would not be asking if we could see an end to the craziness that is allowing this individual to still stalk/harass and threaten our kids. To those of you that know more intimate details of our situation know that justice has not been served for our kids yet because of this small town community.

We would greatly appreciate any amount of donations that you can make towards the legal costs in helping our kids to get some peace of mind and justice. Our faith has helped us to this point, now by the grace of God and this fund we will be able to hopefully see this through to the end.
