Dear Shrewsbury Families and Community,

Our teachers nurture our kids every single day so they can thrive and grow. But right now, the most basic resource in the teachers' lounge - clean, cold drinking water - is missing.

The water cooler in the teachers' break room is broken, and requests to replace it and to continue to provide monthly water delivery were declined due to "budgetary constraints." Whatever the reasoning, this leaves our teachers without something so simple, yet so essential, in the course of their long, demanding days.

Our teachers deserve better. While our school does have bottle-filling stations for students, those are shared, high-traffic spaces. Teachers often have very limited breaks between classes, and the ability to quickly fill up in their own lounge saves valuable time.

More importantly, a dedicated water source for staff ensures:

 🚰Hygiene & Health - Teachers need a clean, low-traffic station for filling bottles (especially important during cold/flu season).

🕒Efficiency - Teachers don't have to compete with students or leave their lounge during their short prep or lunch breaks.

💙Respect & Support - Providing a small, private resource communicates that staff wellbeing is valued — they shouldn't have to "make do" with the same resources designed for children.

That's why we're launching this grassroots undraiser, led by parents and supported by our community, to:

🚰Purchase a new water cooler ($250)

💧Cover the initial bottle deposit ($100)

💦Fund monthly water delivery for 10 months (20 five-gallon bottles/month @ $8.99 per bottle

👉 Total Needed: $2,350
