My name is Norma Liliana. I am 43 years old, a mother to wonderful children, and I am reaching out to my community because I have run out of options.
In 2019, I was diagnosed with Livedoid Vasculopathy, a rare and extremely painful vascular condition that causes severe ulcers on my legs. When flares occur, the pain is so intense it feels like sharp cuts—making it impossible to walk, sleep, or move around.
Despite this painful condition, I worked hard to support my family until 2025, when I unfortunately lost my job and my health insurance. I have tried taking on other jobs since then, but every time I push myself to work, severe new ulcers break out. Without insurance, I am unable to afford the $800/month medication I desperately need to manage this condition, cannot I afford cash payments for specialist visits with a rheumatologist or a wound care center. Currently, I am managing and dressing these painful wounds on my own at home.
It breaks my heart because I want nothing more than to work and provide for my kids. They are my entire world and my absolute motivation to keep pushing forward every day, even when the daily pain feels unbearable.
I am humbly asking for your help. Any funds raised will go directly toward:
Essential wound care supplies (bandages, specialized dressings, and antiseptics)
Monthly prescription medications ($800/month)
Doctor and specialist visits (Rheumatologist and Wound Care Center)
Overdue medical and hospital bills
It is extremely difficult for me to ask for financial help, but my family needs relief, and I need access to basic medical care. Even if you cannot donate, sharing this story or keeping my family in your prayers means the world to us.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and God bless you all.
With gratitude,
Norma Liliana
