As most of you know - in 2018, I was diagnosed with cirrhosis. Since then, it’s been a long and difficult road—physically, emotionally, and financially. After years of managing the illness and fighting to stay healthy, I was placed on the liver transplant list over three years ago. Trusting in God, having support from my family & friends, and lots and lots of prayer were some of the things that kept me strong. Now, the time has come, and we finally got the call that could save my life.
My transplant will take place at UPMC, and I’ll be required to stay nearby for several weeks during recovery. My husband will be my caregiver throughout this time. In order to be by my side, he will need to take time off work with no pay. We are incredibly grateful to God for this blessing and the chance at healing, but the financial burden of lodging, meals, transportation, and basic living expenses is something we simply can’t manage on our own.
We’re raising funds to help cover:
- Temporary lodging near UPMC
- Daily expenses during recovery
- Food, Parking, travel, and transportation costs
- Lost income while Damon provides full-time care
This is a deeply vulnerable time, and we are leaning on our community for support. Every donation—no matter the size—helps ease the stress and brings us one step closer to healing. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page is also a powerful way to help.
Thank you for your prayers, your kindness, and for walking with us through this life-changing (well… saving) journey. 💛 💚
