Last week, my life was unexpectedly turned upside down when I was hospitalized with a serious gallbladder problem that required emergency surgery to have my gallbladder removed.
I’m now home recovering, but the timing has created a difficult financial situation. I recently started a new job at Walmart, and because I haven’t been employed there for 180 days yet, I may face termination because of the time I need to recover. At the same time, now that I’m working, I make too much to qualify for Medicaid, leaving me responsible for medical expenses and bills while I’m trying to heal.
I never expected to need help like this, but right now, any support would make a real difference for me and my family. Donations will help with medical expenses, household bills, and other costs while I recover and figure out what comes next with my job.
