About this fundraiser

My Daughter, Mandi Sartain Rutherford has been sick now for 14 months. She has been bed ridden, she can’t walk, she can’t drive, she has lost 50 pounds without trying and she has ran a fever up to 104 for the past 14 months daily. Finally, we got a diagnosis of IIP - Idiopathic intracranial hypertension. This means her body is producing too much spinal fluid causing pressure on her brain/skull…
She is loosing her vision at times, seeing double, extremely blurry vision, and always has a severe headache. In other words, she has no quality of life at this time. She will undergo brain surgery if the current medication doesn’t work. We are asking for help. She desperately needs an electric wheelchair. Just today at the doctors there was no wheelchair available so she had to walk with our help, and it completely drained her. She has a regular wheelchair but it’s too heavy for us to get in and out of the car. In addition to that, as you can imagine the medical bills are stacking up. Copayments, imaging test, medical procedures, labs, and TONS of prescriptions! This is getting to be almost impossible. Her daughter graduated early to be able to take care of her but the needs continued to grow. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER AND HER FAMILY AS WE WALK THIS TRIAL OUT TOGETHER. ANYTHING HELPS! THANK YOU!
