My mom was diagnosed with necrotising fasciitis, otherwise known as “Flesh Eating disease” the day before Thanksgiving Wednesday November 22nd. She went via ambulance to the nearest hospital, and after diagnosis of necrotising fasciitis was life flighted to AGH in Pittsburgh For numerous operations. After almost a month of hospitalization she was transferred to long term rehabilitation at a local nursing home, where not even a week later has to be transported back to AGH in Pittsburgh for another surgery. 
 

Flesh eating disease is RARE affecting only 1 in 20,000 people a year in the US. The medical bills are rolling in, and we have been struggling with insurance to get short term disability coverage, which still only covers so much.  She is stressing about bills and medical bills and has no income now due to being off of work. I just want To help her with this financial burden so she can worry about getting better! I have no idea how much we will need in the long run, but I choose this amount being that this would get het squared away with  where she is at right now.

This is my mother’s favorite time of year and she has been through horrible surgeries, in intense pain, and has a long road of recovery ahead of her. I know this is a difficult time to be asking for donations, but it would mean the world to me and our family for some assistance during this difficult and devastating time.
