Hi Everyone,

This is Sukhmanpreet Kaur. I am an international student here; my family is back in India. I have always been an active and energetic person. But recently, I suffered a devastating knee injury. I was at home trying to do my stuff. When I turned around, my knee got twisted, and I fell down on the floor. I was not even able to get up. Then I went to the ER at night; they took an X-ray, and it's showing a knee cap dislocation. Everything has just turned upside down. I am pursuing my bachelor's degree in Business Administration in General Business. I am also collecting my tuition fee by myself, but now I won’t be able to pay my fee and my hospital bills. Unfortunately, the cost of these treatments is overwhelming, and insurance won’t cover all the expenses. Even most of the doctors are not taking my Global Insurance. This injury has impacted me in every way, not only physically and financially but mentally too. If I won’t be able to bear my living expenses and medication, there is no point I will be able to study more, and I don’t want to waste a year. I cannot even put a burden on my family back in India; they are also struggling to pay back the loans of my previous studies. Although I am also thankful and grateful to the family with whom I am staying, they are taking care of me and took me to the hospital in the emergency. But now, I need help to pay my fee and hospital bills and medication.
