About this fundraiser

Hi, my name is Shawn, and I’m reaching out on behalf of someone incredibly strong, kind, and deeply loved—Melissa.

Melissa was recently diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive and life-altering form of brain cancer. In an instant, everything changed. What should have been ordinary days have turned into constant hospital visits, difficult treatments, and an overwhelming fight for her life.

Over the past weeks, we’ve been in and out of the hospital, navigating an intense level of care. Melissa now requires daily support, including physical therapy, speech therapy, and specialized medical care. At this point, she is no longer able to manage many day-to-day tasks on her own—something that has been incredibly difficult for someone who has always been so independent and full of life.

Despite everything, Melissa continues to fight with remarkable strength and courage. But this journey has become even more overwhelming after she lost her health insurance in the middle of treatment.

Without coverage, the cost of chemotherapy, blood thinners, ongoing therapies, hospital stays, and doctor visits is rapidly adding up. These are not optional treatments—they are critical to her care, her comfort, and her ability to keep fighting.

We are raising funds to help cover:

  • Chemotherapy treatments
  • Blood thinners and essential medications
  • Daily physical and speech therapy
  • Hospital stays and doctor visits
  • Any additional medical expenses as they arise

Every dollar raised will go directly toward ensuring Melissa can continue receiving the care she urgently needs without interruption.

Melissa has always been someone who shows up for others with love and compassion. Now, she needs us more than ever.

If you are able to donate, no amount is too small—it truly makes a difference. If you’re unable to give, sharing this page can help us reach others who can.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness, your support, and for standing with Melissa during this unimaginable time. She is fighting with everything she has—and with your help, she won’t have to fight alone.
