Dear friends and Family,

As you know, my loving mother, our beloved Elva has passed. She was diagnosed with late stage cancer and was too widespread in her body for any effective treatments. 

Her lungs kept filling with a fluid produced by the cancer, as well as pain in her abdomen. It was the final decision made by all for her to receive end of life comfort care to manage pain and symptoms during her final weeks. 

With weeks of her life remaining as prognosis, I was planning to bring her home from the hospital during this end of life care phase; however I didn't make it in time. She ended up succumbing to the illness. The cancer was too aggressive, and she ended up passing in a temporary hospice facility only days later.

These times have been extraordinarily difficult for myself and my family. Ive been doing everything possible to take care of my mother however, I've come to a place where I need some help.

I have a full time job that has been a blessing in allowing me to travel back and fourth from Utah to California take care of this situation. Ive spent a great deal of time and money to be there for my mother and father during this crisis, and gladly did so to provide the love and support to my parents. However this has put me in a limited financial situation. 

It is with a heavy heart that I ask for help with the funeral expenses for Mom. I wish I had the resources to take care of this on my own, but I do not. 

 My mothers wishes were to be cremated and spread on her property in Joshua Tree, CA. She is currently at Wiefels funeral home in Palm Springs, CA. This is the fist time that Ive been through this process and learning as I go. Ive submitted all documents that she needs and now all that is left is the cremation expense which totals to $3,000. 

After her cremation, the additional budget is going towards organizing and hosting an ash spreading memorial ceremony on her property in Joshua Tree, CA. This will be a very memorable and precious event to allow us all some closeness, remembrance, celebration, mourning and closure. I  encourage all family and friends of Elva to try and be there.
